Purposeful Artisan Fashion
Raquel Bulle design and produces unique, carefully sourced, handcrafted pieces from our artisans of the Colombian Andes.
We are proud to be a life source for our empowered and dignified artisans and women as they strive to weave better futures for their families and communities.
Our Team of Artisans
Nestled in the beautiful Andes Mountains, 2,600 metres above, lays our 'maestro artesano', Javier, who hand weaves our fabric next to his family and friends and brings our Artesana collection to life.
Each piece has been carefully handcrafted with beautiful patterns that are unique to our ‘maestro artesano’.
Not only will you receive a unique piece from the magical land of the Andes Mountains, but you are also helping our artisans weave a better future for themselves, their family and their community.
Find in the photo our team of artisans from right to left: Yair, Néstor, Johan, Claudio, Ana Milena, Javier, and Raúl. This magical group includes Javier's 3 brothers, daughter and friends.
Javier, "Maestro Artesano"
Our "maestro artesano", Javier, was born in Cucunuba, a small town located in the province of Ubaté in the department of Cundinamarca in Colombia.
In the past, each home in this town had a loom that families used to weave wonderful designs and take them to markets in the big cities.
Javier, started his passion for weaving at the age of 10 in the house of a happy neighbour who taught him how to handle the manual loom.
During his 20s, Javier decided to move to the capital with two of his 10 siblings to open an artisan studio and improve the quality of life of his family.
Today, Javier has two workshops, one of them managed by his beautiful daughter, Ana Milena, who like him is a "maestra artesana" in the art of hand weaving.
RAQUEL BULLE has been blessed to work with this family of artisans for over 5 years, these master craftsmen make our fabrics and give purpose to our existence as a brand.
In the last 5 years, we have had the privilege of seeing them prosper and take their art to other parts of the world.

Our Team of Superwomen, Our Family
"I remember running as a kid between the sewing machines and taking my afternoon naps on the cutting table while these ladies were sewing and packing garments.
I remember asking them to take me to the town's groceries shop for a Chocorramo, the most delicious chocolate cake! They are family, and each of them is a vivid representation of the Latin woman; strong, powerful and filled with love.
Thank you all for teaching me since I was little, how to sew, iron, pack and most importantly how to be a family of seamstresses.
RAQUEL BULLE exists today thanks to all of you!"
